Adjusting the throttle cable
To see how to adjust throttle cable, please refer to Sect. D 4, Adjusting the throttle cables.
Disassembling the throttle control
 
Slip off the rubber gaiter (A) of the throttle control cables.
Loosen screws (4) securing the two throttle control shells (1) and open them.
Remove the cable nipples from their seats and take the opening (3) and closing (6) cables off the pulley.
Remove the throttle control (1) from the handlebar.
Note
To change the throttle control cables, you need to remove them from throttle body as specified under Sect. L 6, Removing the throttle body.
Spare throttle control cables come complete with adjusters.
Reassembling the throttle control
Grease the ends of the throttle control cables (3) and (6) and the pulley with the specified grease.
Refit throttle control components following the removal procedure in the reverse order; set pin (B), located on throttle control top cover, into the relevant recess (C) on handlebar.
