Removing the engine
To remove the engine, you first have to remove other components from the bike.
Most disassembly procedures for these components are described in the relevant sections.
The following diagram is a logical disassembly sequence of the parts to be removed and makes reference to the relevant sections
describing the specific disassembly procedures. This section describes only the operations to be carried out after having removed all the parts shown in the diagram.
Set a support under the engine before removing it from the frame.
Remove the protective caps (1) from the frame tubes at the engine mounting points.
Loosen nuts (3) on frame right-side, at the screws (2) securing the engine at the top.
Hold the swingarm pivot (5) steady on the right side of the frame; at the same time, unscrew the nut (4) at the opposite end (left).

. In this way the swingarm is not fixed to the engine any more, leave it connected to the frame.
Remove the upper screws (2).
Lower the complete engine and push it forward to remove it from the frame.
Reassembling the engine
Reassembling is a reversal of the removal sequence outlined above.
In particular, lubricate nuts (3), nut (4) and swingarm shaft (5).
Tighten the nuts (3) and nut (4) to the specified torque (Sect. C 3,

).
