Caution
Bold reference numbers in this section identify parts shown in this exploded view diagram. These parts do not appear in the figures near the text.
Removing the front mudguard
Remove the fork leg guards (1) and (2) by unscrewing the screws (3) and collect the washers (4).
Disengage front brake line (A) from mudguard (5).
Loosen the screws (6) securing the mudguard to fork; keep the washers (7).
Remove the mudguard.
Unscrew supports (8) with washers (9) and remove them from fork leg.
 
Refitting the front mudguard
Warning
Do not ride with the front mudguard removed. The front mudguard supports the brake hose and prevents it from contacting the wheel under braking.
 
Tighten supports (8) to fork legs, ensure you fit washers (9) in-between.
Position the mudguard (5) onto supports (8), start screws (6) with washers (7) and then tighten to the specified torque (Sect. C3, Frame torque settings).
Route the front brake lines (A) into their relevant housings on mudguard.
Refit fork leg guards (1) and (2), start screws (3) with washers (4) and then tighten to the specified torque (Sect. C3, Frame torque settings).
